Athens 2004: My Wrap Up

Definately one of my greatest experiences. Not a relaxing time, but it was an exciting one. Not a Vacation, but an Experience.

After following all the negative build up to the Games, I was so pleased that Greece was able to pull it all off. The Spirit of the Games was so strong and beautiful and I can see how one can easily become an "Olympic junkie".

Contrary to US Media, the games were packed. The venues for Gymnastics were sold out (as you can see from the pictures), all the Hotels were fully booked. The metros and trams were (a bit unpleasantly) crowded.

This will go down as one of the Greatest Olympics in history.

For me personally, it was quite an emotional experience to be there.

As they say, "It happened in Athens."
